Staff Expertise

Our team stays current in this highly technical practice area by attending various continuing education programs including the annual AICPA National Conference on Employee Benefit Plans and other relevant seminars and by reviewing monthly publications.

Our Employee Benefit Plan Audit Practice Leader, Debra Seefeld, CPA has numerous years of experience in audits under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) under the regulatory authority of the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL).

Debra currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Texas Society of CPAs, the Houston CPA Society, and also on the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Small Firm Newsletter Editorial Advisory Board.  She has also served on the AICPA Personal Financial Planning Legislative and Regulatory Affairs Panel.  In addition, she serves on the Practitioners Publishing Company's - PPC Customer Advisory Committee.  Debra has had numerous articles published in the professional journals, including the Journal of Accountancy.
