Staff Expertise
Our team stays current in this highly technical practice area by adhering to the continuing professional education requirements of Government Auditing Standards and attending various continuing education programs including the annual Governmental Audit Quality Center Annual Update and other relevant seminars and by reviewing monthly related publications.
Our Governmental and Non-Profit Audit Practice Leader, Debra Seefeld, CPA has had over 15 years experience in Montgomery County with county, city, special district, and school district auditing. Debra also has numerous years of experience in audits under OMB Circular A-133 (governmental and non-profits).
Debra currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Texas Society of CPAs, the Houston CPA Society, and also on the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Small Firm Newsletter Editorial Advisory Board. She has also served on the AICPA Personal Financial Planning Legislative and Regulatory Affairs Panel. In addition, she serves on the Practitioners Publishing Company's - PPC Customer Advisory Committee. Debra has had numerous articles published in the professional journals, including the Journal of Accountancy.
